This gem of a band just recently rolled through Vancouver a few days ago – and I missed them! Maybe next time? I’ve been listening to this great album for a few weeks now – and it has grown neither dull nor tiring. It deserves to be mentioned online!
The album was drawn to my attention through a review. From there, I was hooked. Its melodic rock and roll, along with pop sensibilities, was all I needed.
There is nothing exceptionally rare or unique about this presentation, but that’s okay! As stated by Michael Lerner (vocalist), "One of the main criticisms that the band has gotten is 'Well, they're not trying to reinvent the wheel' but I feel like, there's no wheel to reinvent!"
Michael Benjamin Lerner is a Seattle based musician who is the brains behind the moniker Telekinesis. However, as of August 2010 while on tour, he is joined by Cody Votolato and Jason Narducy.
