I realize that this album came out last year. But it needs to be blogged about. I didn’t give Robyn much of a chance after her self-titled indie reincarnation a few years ago. Figured it was a one hit wonder of sorts. Body Talk absolutely explodes over that effort.
Robyn released this album in stages. Each mini-album could stand on its own, but as a whole, it’s an impressive piece of work. Critics appear to agree as well. Body Talk was placed on many top ten lists of 2010. Robyn’s originality seems to spark something with audiences worldwide.
I think the only question now is: what’s next? As Robyn continues to reinvent herself, one could only wonder what sonic adventures lay ahead. Whatever the case, I’m on board.
